AI actors should promote fairness and non discrimination, diversity and inclusion, ensure social justice, safeguard equity and combat all forms of discrimination, in accordance with international law.

It is important that data for AI systems is collected, used, shared, archived and deleted in a manner consistent with international law and in accordance with the values and these principles stated, while respecting relevant national, regional and international legal frameworks.

These include governments, intergovernmental organisations, the technical community, civil society, researchers and academia, the media, education officials, policy makers, private sector companies, human rights institutions and equality bodies, antidiscrimination watchdogs, and youth and children’s groups, among others.
